IES Ingredients measures its greenhouse gas emissions within a defined scope and follows a reduction trajectory against a 2022 baseline. The company is targeting an absolute reduction of 55% in its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, together with a 25% reduction in the intensity of its Scope 3 emissions over the same period. By 2045, it is targeting an absolute reduction of 90% in its Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions compared with 2022. Progress on these indicators is published periodically and does not constitute a guarantee that the targets will be achieved as anticipated.
The company is also assessing options for producing and self-consuming renewable energy on its site.
As part of its distribution business, IES Ingredients provides its customers with the technical and environmental information available on the ingredients. This information is based on data supplied by manufacturers, supporting documents, certifications or identified methods. It is presented together with its scope and is not extended to an entire product, range or the company as a whole when it concerns only a specific aspect.
IES Ingredients also monitors the quantity and treatment of its waste and implements prevention, sorting and recovery measures.
The company also supports identified biodiversity projects, notably with Allauch town council, Pure Ocean and 1% for the Planet.
IES Ingredients implements occupational health and safety prevention measures, including risk assessment, training and accident monitoring.
